Why Purchasing a Membership at Drybar Will Be the Best Thing to Happen to You All Month

For my third and final blog post about why Drybar is my newest obsession, I figured I would address the company's price excellence. Allie Webb, the founder of Drybar, had one goal in mind: to look and feel like a movie star, but at an affordable price. Six years and 65 shops later, she did just that. She has built her empire with a salon that only offers blowouts, no cuts or color. Allie understands it is not just about the hair service, but the entire Drybar experience that contributes to the company's value, and has her products priced accordingly.

For the sake of addressing Drybar's product excellence, I will be using the prices the Grapevine, TX location implements. For your standard wash, blow-dry and style, Drybar Grapevine charges $40.00. Those that do not appreciate paying to pamper yourself, may say that is a ridiculous amount of money to pay. However, in this situation, I think this an appropriate price. When you take into consideration the five star treatment you receive and the self-confidence boost that inevitably happens once you leave, you will come to realize paying the $40.00 is nothing.
If you are like me and have become a Drybar addict, I would seriously advise you to sign up for their membership. Drybar offers a "Barfly Membership" which has literally zero downsides to signing up. For $75.00 a month, you receive two blowouts (without the membership, two blowouts cost $80.00), 10% off all the Drybar name-brand products, as well as a complimentary blowout during your birthday month. If you have used your two blowouts for the month but still want to get your hair done, as a member, you only pay $35.00 versus the $40.00 When we hear the word "membership", many of us also hear the word "commitment", however that is not the case. You are able to cancel your membership at any time and there is no cancellation fee; all you have to do is let the front desk employee, referred to as the bartender, know you no longer wish to continue your membership and she will take care of the rest. Along with the standard blowout, for a small fee of $10.00, you can also add a braid to your final look, or a ten minute scalp massage called a "floater" while getting your hair shampooed. Drybar gives you the option to include additional services beyond just a blowout, which adds even more value to the whole experience!
Unlike many other businesses, Drybar has the entire experience in mind when it comes to the company's prices. Whether it is using all Drybar name-brand products and hot tools (aka blowdryers, straighteners, and curling irons), offering complimentary drinks (both alcoholic and non alcoholic), and playing your favorite romance movies, Drybar offers their clients a high-end experience at an extremely low cost. Who doesn't enjoy an hour of pampering without having to spend a serious amount of money? If my bank account allowed me, I would be at Drybar every day of the week. If you have yet to try the Grapevine location, you are missing out!! Join me in naming Drybar your newest obsession. I promise you will not be disappointed! XOXO
